Free information and leaflets are
available in the Centre on local & national services
including all aspects of
health,
welfare, pensions, benefits
and taxation; tourist information and travel schedules, local events &
local activities; Parish Council minutes, information on planning
applications, bulletins and newsletters.
The Centre has broadband-enabled PCs, a
printer-scanner, a photocopier and a laminator - all available for public use at
modest charges. There is a free lending library
and greetings cards for sale. The Centre is a BT wifi hotspot.
There is a Public Information Point (PiP) in the Centre.
It gives free information on a range of
topics such as health, education, employment, community safety, leisure,
travel and tourism by free access to a number of websites. You can
print these free and you can send emails free. From it you can
also access paid-for services, such
as printing digital photographs, downloading mobile phone applications,
and topping up pay-as-you-go mobile phones.
Coffee and tea are available in the Centre

available by subscription and at 35p/mo. in the Herstmonceux Village

Village Hall

Herstmonceux Village Hall
on the A271 (Hailsham Road)
is managed by an independent charitable trust. It
was opened in 2000. It has a large hall, a small hall, a lounge & reception area with
tables and chairs and a kitchen. To see the schedule of regular bookings

The Herstmonceux Millennium Embroidery is
on display in the foyer of the Village Hall. Posters of the Embroidery are for sale for
£6.50; a pack of 6 cards showing different squares costs £6.50; large cards £2.50 each;
postcards £1.00 each; individual square cards with no envelope £1.00 each. Individual
squares can be printed and framed for £20.00 (payment required in advance). Posters and
cards are available from some retail shops in Herstmonceux village and in the
Village Information Centre or by phoning Sue Stewart (tel. 833450).
