We hold copies of most of the records held in the East Sussex County Record Office for the parishes of Herstmonceux and Wartling which have been indexed by us.

Please send us the surnames you require information on and the dates together with a large s.a.e. and £5 for each name you require to have researched by us.

Records held by us:

Baptisms, Marriages: Banns & Licenses, Burials, Census returns 1841-91, Wills, Inventories, Land Tax Returns, and many other sources including strays, Manor Court Books and additional manuscripts.

£5 per surname is our minimum charge. Should the work involved take more than one hour we research at the rate of £5 an hour and will charge accordingly.

No research will be done without £5 in advance and an sae.
