darts

Dart players meet Monday & Friday 2pm to 4pm. Tea and biscuit available during the period.

The present group has been in existence for some 11 years, run by Ivy & Ron Bartlett.

There are four dartboards and we have about 18 members. Usually around 10 or 12 come along at any one time, both ladies & gentlemen.

Our usual arrangement is to play against each other in a friendly manner, all amateurs. There are no serious competitions, we just enjoy the afternoons playing darts.

To quote one member, "I come along because I find the group so friendly and the atmosphere most pleasant".

whist - rainbow whist

Rainbow whist occurs every Monday and Friday from 1.45pm to 4pm. Admission is 80p, which includes a cup of tea and biscuit half-way through the game.

At present we have over 30 members. Newcomers are always made very welcome.

This is an established activity which is very popular and easy to follow. If you play traditional whist, rainbow whist is only a variation.

We cater for all players: we have one gentleman who is blind who can out-play the best of us. Should you find it difficult to move easily, we can help by letting you stay on one table for the whole session.

Why not give us a visit on any Monday or Friday? You'll be very welcome.
