THE EASTBOURNE FORUM FOR OLDER PEOPLE

THE AIMS OF THE FORUM


The Forum aims to bring together those working closely with older people to enable them to voice their opinions and needs, and in whatever way possible to ensure their interests are considered in all types of planning.

The aims are

1.    to bring together organisations in the local area with a shared interest and concern for the welfare of older people.

 2.    for groups working with older people to find out what others are doing, to hear about their problems and learn from their experiences.

 3.    to consider action to address issues of concern

 4.    to discuss policies and plans of relevance to the Forum

 5.    to ensure that the interests of older people are considered in all types of planning

 6.    to provide a means of consultation

 7.    to provide a line of communication between statutory bodies and the voluntary sector.
